Leo Cooper is a member of the Board of Directors for Educational Services of America, Inc. ("ESA"). He is the President of Cooper Foods, Inc. dba Leo's Café. Mr. Cooper is a retired principal and teacher. He spent twenty-five years in the Knoxville and Knox County School Systems as a school principal; he was Principal of West High School and Gresham Middle School. He was also a teacher and coach for nine years. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a certification as a teacher. Mr. Cooper also graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, as well as an EDS in Educational Administration and Supervision. Mr. Cooper's awards and recognitions include the following: election to the Knox County Commission (serving 16 years as Chairman), served on the Home Rule Charter, previously a Board Member of Edfinancial Services, awarded the top level Career Ladder III Principal by the State Department of Education, the Knoxville Best Award at Gresham Middle School and the Knoxville Chamber Award for Best Principal.
