Mr. Sawyers joined Educational Services of America, Inc. as Chief Compliance Officer in August 2010 and was additionally appointed as Chief Risk Officer in March 2011. In addition to these roles, Mr. Sawyers also serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Community Bank of the Cumberlands, a subsidiary of ESA.

With nearly a decade of experience working in the banking industry, Mr. Sawyers has spent the majority of his career working in compliance. Prior to working for ESA, he was employed by Greeneville Federal Bank as Compliance Officer, BSA Officer, and Information Security Officer.

Mr. Sawyers graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1997 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mass Communication. He has furthered his education in the field of compliance by working to atting the prestigious designations of Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager )CRCM), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO), and Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP).
