Edscholar is a scholarship program designed to recognize and reward outstanding students seeking higher education in Tennessee. The Edscholar program underwrites tuition expenses for qualified incoming freshmen at eligible colleges and universities statewide.

The Edscholar program is a way to transform promising young Tennesseans into the leaders of their generation. The institutionally selected Edscholar recipients are held to a standard of excellence and achievement. Edscholars are challenged to realize their academic and personal potential through higher education.

Since the program's inception in 2003, over $12,000,000 in scholarship money has been awarded to over 850 students at 56 two and four year institutions in Tennessee.

Please note: For incoming freshmen for the 2009-2010 academic year,the Edscholar Scholarship Program will not be offered for new applicants. Previous Edscholar recipients who maintain a minimum GPA, attend full time, and are in good standing will not be affected. Please check back for updates regarding this scholarship program.
