Job Description:
Katie enjoys her job as an SOS counselor, helping students prepare for college by providing them with as much information as possible.  Her "Planning for Life After High School" presentation helps clarify the intimidating admissions and application process as well as informs students of how to apply for financial aid. She also gives the "Planning for High School" presentation to 7th and 8th graders, helping them to prepare for high school by emphasizing how high school years are the link to college and their future careers. Additionally, Katie  helps counselors and administrators get students started with the Tennessee College and Career Planning System assessments.

Work Experience:
Katie worked as an intern at Edsouth for two years prior to her graduation from the University of Tennessee. During this time, she served as a receptionist and assisted the Student Outreach Service staff in providing college planning materials and marketing tools to school counselors prior to their presentations.

About Katie:
In college, Katie was active in her sorority and served as recording secretary for her chapter and as a recruitment counselor for all of panhellenic. She enjoys spending time with friends, running and playing volleyball, being outside, and meeting new people.
